Set a target, sit back, and watch the alerts roll into your inbox.

How it works

Three quick steps from "I wish I'd bought that" to "got it at my price."

  1. Find your card Search our database of 20,000+ cards and pick the exact printing you're watching. Right set, right variant, no mix-ups.
  2. Set your target price Tell us your magic number. Waiting for a dip before you buy, or a spike before you sell? Either way, you set the trigger.
  3. Get the email The moment the market reaches your price, an alert lands in your inbox. No app to babysit, no tabs to refresh. We watch so you don't have to.

Pokémon Card Price Alert FAQs

Catching the perfect price shouldn't feel like grinding for a shiny. We know you've got questions about our new alerts, so here's everything you need to set traps like a seasoned Trainer. Into the tall grass we go!

Think of it as your very own Pokédex entry that pings you back. You pick a card, set the price you're after, and our system keeps a quiet watch on the market. The second the price crosses your target, we fire off an email straight to your inbox. You don't have to lift a finger after setup. It's basically a Pokégear ringtone for great deals.

We track the live market price pulled from trusted marketplaces in the hobby (like TCGplayer), the same data powering the rest of Card Codex. By default, that's the "Raw" average market value, so you'll always be reacting to what collectors are actually paying today, not yesterday's news.

We sweep the market on a regular schedule (currently once a day), so your alerts stay fresh.

Not a chance. We're not trying to be a clingy Joltik. You'll only hear from us when a card you chose actually hits the price you set. No noise, no daily digests you didn't ask for, just the alert that matters.

You bet. Alerts work both ways. Set one below market to catch a buying dip, or above market to know when it's time to sell. Whether you're hunting deals or timing an exit, you're in control of the trigger.

Free Trainers can keep 10 active alerts running at once, which is plenty for your top chase cards. If you're tracking a full want list and flipping on the side, Pro bumps you up to 100 active alerts so nothing slips through the net.

Right now, alerts are tuned to the cards we price on Card Codex, which means English and Japanese prints get the most consistent results. As we expand into more TCG games in the future, those will also be part of our alert system.

Of course. Change your target price, pause an alert, or clear it out entirely whenever you like. Your watchlist is yours to manage, no Escape Rope required.

Nope, you don't need a stack of Poké Dollars to get started. Every Trainer can set 10 free alerts and start catching deals today. If you're watching a binder's worth of cards or flipping at speed, Card Codex Pro scales you up to 100 alerts.
