Best of Game is a rare 9-card Pokémon TCG collection released by Wizards of the Coast from December 2002 to July 2003 as their final farewell to fans before losing the license. Distributed exclusively through BattleZone tournaments, the set features beloved competitive cards with special reverse-holographic treatments, plus four surprise cards that had never been released in English (Rocket's Scizor, Rocket's Sneasel, Dark Ivysaur, and Dark Venusaur). The collection is notorious for having intentionally misplaced energy symbols—a deliberate error added by departing Wizards employees as a form of sabotage. Winner versions with gold foil stamps were given to Tournament Organizers, and jumbo variants were also produced, making these among the most sought-after promotional cards in Pokémon TCG history.
