Welcome to Card Codex! I'm Tom, one-half of the founding duo behind this platform. My journey into the world of TCGs started like many others: with the sheer thrill of opening a booster pack of Pokémon cards as a kid. That feeling of anticipation, the smell of the new cards, and the joy of discovering a rare holographic card—it’s a feeling that has stuck with me my entire life.
As I grew older and built a career in digital marketing and SEO, I realized that the digital world of TCG collecting was missing something. It was scattered, often unreliable, and lacked a central hub built with collectors in mind. That's when the idea for Card Codex sparked—a place where passion and data could finally meet.
My Role at Card Codex
As the project manager and SEO specialist, my job is to be the bridge between you and the data you need. I'm obsessed with making sure that when you have a question about a card's price, history, or potential, Card Codex is the first and best answer you find.
I work behind the scenes, tuning the engine of discovery so that our community is easy to find, our content is valuable, and our platform continues to grow and reach new collectors every day.
My goal is to build not just a website, but a thriving ecosystem.
My Pokémon Journey
- Favorite Legendary: Rayquaza. The design is just epic. To me, it represents the soaring ambition and strategic vision I try to bring to Card Codex every day.
- Favorite Starter: CSquirtle. You never forget your first partner. Squirtle was my guy from day one—cool, dependable, and part of an awesome squad.
- Favorite Generation: Generation III (Hoenn). I loved the sense of adventure and the introduction of so many incredible new Pokémon and abilities. It felt like a massive expansion of the world I already loved.
- First TCG Card Memory: Pulling a holographic Blastoise from a Base Set pack at a friend's birthday party. I remember my hands shaking. That was the moment I knew I was hooked for life. Ands yes It was my friend’s pack so I gave it to him T_T
My Vision for Card Codex
I believe that every collector, whether a seasoned investor or a kid saving up their pocket money, deserves access to clear, accurate information. My vision for Card Codex is to be that trusted resource—a place where you feel empowered, informed, and connected to a community that shares your passion.
