Value Analysis
Is this the most adorable Meowth art we've seen in the modern era? I’d say it’s a strong contender. While everyone else is busy losing their minds (and their wallets) over the $600 Mega Charizard X, this little guy is quietly sitting in the $13 to $22 range as the set’s most underrated nostalgia play.Don't let the "Basic" tag fool you; Gen 1 icons like Meowth have a legendary track record for holding value long after the competitive "hype" sets have been rotated out. This card is a bridge between the old-school Jungle set vibes and the high-detail world of modern Illustration Rares. As Phantasmal Flames ages and booster boxes become harder to find, the demand from "Master Set" completionists and Gen 1 purists is going to create a very firm price floor. It’s a safe, "comfy" investment that proves you don't need a Mega Evolution to have a card that truly stands out in a binder.Beware tho that cards like this are often the target of coordinated buyouts by bad actors, to artificially inflate their price, so they can then resell them for a higher price tag.
