I’ve always had a soft spot for Mimikyu. There’s something about a Pokémon that just wants to be loved so badly it dresses up as Pikachu that hits different, and apparently the TCG community agrees, because Mimikyu’s chase cards have quietly become some of the most sought-after pulls in modern Pokémon.
What I find interesting about Mimikyu specifically is that it doesn’t follow the usual “legendary tax” rules. Yet collectors keep paying premium money for it, partly because the artwork tends to be genuinely creative (that little ghost under the sheet gives illustrators a lot to work with).
I’ve gone through the current market data and pulled together the ten most expensive Mimikyu cards you can chase right now. Some of these are predictable, some genuinely surprised me, and at least one is going to make your wallet hide under its own sheet.
